Episodes from 2009, Podcast

A Casual Stroll to Mordor PodcastOn this episode of CStM we discuss outtages of lotro.com, give a quick follow-up on the Siege to Mirkwood preview video.

We also take some time to discuss relationships that spring from MMOs. From casual friendly, to meeting in real life and even finding romance.

We met in DAoC and took the relationship slowly. We have known each other for over 6 years and have been married for 3. Be careful with online relationships! They can lead to meeting wonderful people but giving out personal information online is dangerous!

I loved the story on how you guys met, it was so cute! I’ve made a few good friends gaming who I have kept in touch with over the years, even though we all play different games now.

I liked too your segment on gamer girls and good tips for handling any sort of relationships online. I’ve always been a proud gamer girl but as you mentioned you can get some (or a lot) of negative attention too. Sometimes, unfortunately, it is better to just keep your head down. Which is another reason to love LotRO, pop on fellowship voicechat and no one goes “OMG IT’S A GIRL!!!” ^.^

Hehehe yeah! From my experience shouts of “OMG it’s a girl!” is rarely a good sign.

There’s the other side too. Once my very male dominant guild didn’t realize I was in voice chat and I heard some very stupid discussions. They were all very embarrassed when I finally spoke up to tell them how dumb they were.

Hey guys, another great show. Just wanted to mention that it was myself who voted “not high to reach” on the poll! Have a 36 guard on landroval and now a 30 Lore-master on Brandywine! Can’t wait to get into moria and then into mirkwood (once it comes out!)

Ah hello Feldalor! Maybe we’ll see you around on Landroval sometime!
