List of the Level 62 Skills
Posted on 19. Nov, 2009 by Goldenstar in General
As we learned in last week’s Dev Chat, all classes are getting a skill upgrade at level 62. This is the only “new” skill we will be getting in Siege of Mirkwood. With the NDA lifted, we now have information of what these new skills are. Here’s a complete list of what each class is getting at level 62.
I actually started writing this post on Wednesday. I’m glad I didn’t finish it or I would have missed the Dev Diary released today that lists all these skills! Now I have proper names to the skills and not just whatever someone on the forums decided to call it. I will give as much specifics as I’m able to dig up on the forums. Unfortunately, I wasn’t in beta to see these for myself.
Burglar – Burglar’s Antidote
Skill has a longer range and a shorter cool down than your current skill and can successfully remove poisons that are up to 5 levels above you (previous version only did 2 levels over). [forum discussion]
Captain – Fighting Withdraw
The upgrade removed 30% damage reductions and attacks are less threatening. [forum discussion]
Champion – Remorseless Strike
This is upgrading the current “Relentless Strike” skill. This will (according to the forums) majorly increase critical strikes. Everyone seems pretty happy about this skill! [forum discussion]
Guardian – Brutal Charge
This skill replaces “Charge”. This now will add +10% Melee Damage and creases your run speed from +50% to +150%. Cool down is reduced from 3 minutes down to 2 minutes. [forum discussion]
Hunter – Guide to Mirk-eaves
This quest is a reputation reward, not received from a hunter trainer. Acquaintance is required with Malledhrim faction to gain you a new port location to Echad Sirion. By the title I’m certain this must be to some major camp within Mirkwood. [forum discussion]
Lore-master – Ancient Knowledge of Cures
This skill replaces “Leechcraft”. It combines the curing / resistance of wounds and diseases into one button. I couldn’t find a discussion on the forums about this. I’m not sure if that means Lore-masters aren’t interested or just have nothing to complain about when it comes to this skill.
Minstrel – Chorus of Restoration
Replaces “Song of Restoration” skill. Previously this kill will allow you to to remove dread from one person in your fellowship with a 30 minute cool down. The bummer of this skill is that the minstrel could not cast it on themselves. The new skill allows to remove dread from the entire fellowship including the minstrel! [forum discussion]
Rune-keeper – Shall Not Fall This Day
Replaces “Do Not Fall This Day” skill. What is added to the revive skill is melee, ranged and tactical defense. [forum discussion]
Warden – Muster in Mirk-eaves
This is like the hunter skill. It is a new self-port to Echad Sirion in Mirkwood that you purchase from a Malledhrim faction vendor at acquaintance. [forum discussion]

Brutal Charge actually sets run speed to 150%, ie, it overwrites slowing debuffs.

I believe that’s what I said. That it is up from the +50% that charge has.

Burglar’s Antidote also has a much shorter induction time than Cure Poison did.

Speaking only for myself, the level 62 LM skill is inoffensive, but pointless. The Wound and Disease heals we had cycle very quickly, and when traited function as a PBAoE.
I guess AKoC will get me back one hotkey slot, but I don’t see any other benefit.
