Working Through Volume One

Merric and I have been working with Brynulf to try and complete Volume One. Merric and I were stuck on the last part of book 7 and our friends Kymli and Smashey helped us finish that part. We started on Book 8 with Brynor. We were able do make it through chapter 5 with just the three of us (Brynulf is level 60 which helps a lot).palantir

Azz was nice enough last night to assist us with Chapter 5 last night. We first tried it with just the two of us but all the dread prevented me from healing which of course was very bad for all of us. With Azz’s assistance we were able to get through it. After finishing Book 8 all three us received the title “A Light from the Shadow” which is pretty stinking cool.

From there I have to say the epic quest line got a lot less epic to me. It was a bunch of running around! A couple times it was “Go tell the guy across the hall what you found”. Really? Dude, he’s across the hall go tell him yourself! All I have to say thank the heavens that Brynulf is a hunter and could port us all over creation. I can’t imagine how irritating this would be without the quick ports.

The solo instances went pretty well. Even my squishy healer tush didn’t have difficulty keeping up or doing well but I’m also level 56 now so I’m several levels higher than the intended level for these quests.Volume 1

We made it Book 10 Chapter 2 last evening placing us in Evendim. I don’t know when we will be able to finish it but it feels great to be at least making progress. Merric and I have had this quest since we started and it’s taken us 2 years to get this far but at least we’re getting it done!

    It’s always nice to make progress on the book quests. Congrats! I finally got Phebe through Book 5 last night and am halfway through 6. I’d love to get Volume I done before December 1st, but we’ll see. :-) I know what you mean about all the running around (having — or being, heh — a hunter does help immensely) but I do like the progression of the story in the later books. Good stuff!
