Posted on 06. Dec, 2009 by Goldenstar in Episodes, Episodes from 2009

Podcast Album ArtIn this episode of CStM we go over all the developer diaries, events and announcements we missed while spending Thanksgiving in Texas.

We are level 57 and having a great time playing with Siege of Mirkwood! We haven’t won a skirmish yet but they are still super fun. Goldenstar tried a 12-man skirmish. Merric gives a run down of his two new alts that he created with his new character slots. Merric talks about his experience with SoM launch and his rubber banding issues.

Hi guys, glad to hear your thoughts on mirkwood. Enjoying all the new stuff quite a bit myself. You 2 should be high enough level to get into mirkwood now, but you will need acquaintance level with lothlorien first to get deeper into their woods. When you have that you should be able to get the quest next to the boat to mirkwood at the SE corner of lothlorien. I’d definitely reccommend bringing a friend along with you if you want to try the intro series (similar to the walls of moria chain).

    Have a great week.

We read that we mist get through v2b6 before venturing to lorien so we are working on that. If it’s not needed then poo on the dwarves let’s go!

You could also do the repeatable quests that are just outside Lothlorien. For those you won’t need any reputation, but you will earn reputation with them for the Galadhrim so you can travel through their woods.

Doing those repeatable quests is a bit boring though… and I think there is also a 2 hour cooldown on those quests. So you have to go back a couple of times.

GS – don’t worry about pushing through Volume 2. I’m stuck at 2.5.5 myself, it just means you have to do the daily quests available just outside the western edge of Lothlórien to get your reputation up to Acquaintance and then you can enter the Golden Woods.

Another good show – on your Auction house questions, the main things I usually sell are crafting materials either raw or processed and legendary items. Un-identified 3rd ages I usually sell for 20-70 silver which when you have a bunch really does add up quite quickly. Not to mention 2nd ages usually go for about 2-4 gold (pre-Mirkwood) and I’m sure the new 65 2nd ages will go pretty high.

Meric, don’t feel bad about filling up your shared vault, it took my about 30 seconds to fill mine and then about 30 minutes of shuffling between my 6 characters to empty and refill the vault to get everything redistributed.

Created my Man Lore-Master the other night, I have two slots left to get to nine. I’ll be making a Hobbit Burglar and a Dwarf Champion soon.

I’m sure it’s probably been asked before, but what is the song you use for the intro music?

It is “The Pelennor” from the Lord of The Rings Online soundtrack, which is available for free from FilePlanet. :) http://www.fileplanet.com/199894/download/The-Lord-of-the-Rings-Online-Soundtrack
