I’m sorry, you aren’t enjoying the podcast but I’d like to point out a few facts:

      1) we are very clear that we are casuals (it’s sorta in the name of the podcast/blog) and we will not be rushed. I’m certain other casuals are faster than us but they are not us. We’ll get there when we get there.

      2) you are free to not listen to the podcast which will also release you from complaint #3 of me being rude. There are other lotro podcasts out there to enjoy. No one is forcing you to download & listen to us.

We do accept comments & suggestions to try to improve but since the only suggestion is to level faster, I’m afraid we cannot comply. Best of luck to you in Mirkwood.

Goldenstar, I am impressed by your politeness in spite such a comment. I definitely appreciate the amount of work both of you put into the site and have only experienced you as very pleasant persons.

        Shame on you, anonymous.

You’re right, it’s not hard to go to 1-65 in 2 months, but apparently your definition of casual and ours are a bit different. I would also contend that if you want us to be at the end game and focusing on end game content that you are not looking for a casual podcast and mayhaps never ever be happy with the podcast. Personally, I’m fine with you never listening again especially since you’d rather say “you guys suck” and use profanity instead of offering suggestions or going on your way. Although I do find it ironic that you would call us “middle-school assistant coaches” since your attitude is that of a stereotypical middle-school jaded teen.

And as far as my wife goes, I really don’t care what you think. I think she’s awesome and that she was a lot nicer to you than you deserved. If it was up to me, I’d have trashed your comment, banned your IP and written Comcast about your behavior on our site.

      @ugh

You know what’s really rude, not to mention cowardly? Leaving a snarky personal attack on a blog and not having the balls to use your name. If you don’t enjoy the podcast, don’t listen to it. Give it a bad rating on itunes even (along with *reasons* why it is bad).

There’s no need for name calling. They just make you look ignorant and petty.

Nice episode, was cool hearing from Azz and Veneration.

Merric, it is okay to say that word, sounds much better than uh or um. Don’t worry about it. :)

Show some class ugh, if you don’t like it, you don’t like it. No need to resort to name calling. I agree with Merric. GS you handled that much better than he deserved.

If it were me, I wouldn’t have even bothered allowing that comment through. Nothing constructive to say, trolling, and anonymous, that’s 3 strikes. On the other hand, bonus points to Goldenstar for showing so much class.

Keep up the great work guys – as you know the internet is full of brave anonymous twits like “ugh” above – I wouldn’t let it bother you. Thumbs up for your classy response.

Enjoyed this week’s episode – my commute gos so much faster when I have a new episode to listen to! :)

Yup, Ugh is a pretty classic Troll. He’s even got a Trollish name. Lets see:

    1) Intentional, provocative, incendiary messages. Check.
    2) Passionate debates of inflammatory topics. Not quite check
    3) Attacks to various members of the community. Double check
    4) Discussions focused on nonsense, in the hope that others will interact. Check.
    5) Flooding, screaming and disruption of chat channels. Let’s hope not!

Nice to see some solidarity here, but please don’t feed the troll. Enough flame-fame and he’s liable to come back.

who listens to an hour long podcast that they apparently hate?

Well done Goldenstar for 1) allowing the post even though you could have easily denied it and 2) your response that showed nothing but class on your part. I’m with Merric – I would not have been able to respond as politely as you did.

Keep up the good work you two – I’ve really enjoyed the podcasts since I started listening!

For being casual players, these guys have one of the most dedicated blog sites for this game. They strive to provide great information to the community that is lacking throughout the webspace.

    Ugh is, essentially, incorrect.

The real story? In middle school, Ugh was tormented by a Middle-School assistant football coach, who insisted on referring to him as Sugarpuff Sweetiepants. The coach kept telling him it wasn’t that hard to run 65 times around the track in full football gear and a tutu. Suddenly, this podcast brought back all the repressed memories, which he poured into this commentary to try and transform the pain and shame into good old bile and spite. Don’t think of it as criticism. Think of it as therapy.

You guys are adorable together. :) And your podcast is a pleasant way to keep my brain from turning to mush while I’m forced to spend an hour removing pitch bends from a midi. ;)
