In this episode of CStM, we discuss how we are going to ding that final level of 64 to 65. We received many wonderful suggestions on the topic. Merric is working on his warden and Goldenstar took advantage of the free mounts to shuffle all her alts around.
Our main topic this week is discussing how we handle changes that do or do not happen in an MMO. With Orion’s recent bad news in our minds we discuss the process and promises of changes in our games today. We reminisce about past games and how their changes have let us down. We also discuss the best way to voice your issues with changes to the devs.

PM me or email me when you’re ready to rock those book skirms.

Warden run buff: yeah, combat knocks it off. I always forget to take it off before starting a fight and suddenly I’m in the middle of a fight with no power.
The hunter one is a leeeeeettle slower, but affects the whole group and just ‘suppresses’ in combat, so it’s kind of a trade-off.
I like it — it makes it much easier to level until you can get a horse. (Honestly, I wouldn’t have gotten a horse right at 35, except my daughter really likes running her around on a PONY.
(Undying: I rerolled my RK seven times before I got my first Undying title… and now I realize I suck at RKs.)

My warden was horseless until I finished Volume I thanks to this nice lil’ toggle.

Merric, don’t feel too bad about the “Undying” title, I have five characters with no Undying – of course I didn’t know about the title until my fourth character! My closest was my Champ who was 19 with about 1,000 xp left to 20 when my son found the power button on the computer while I was in combat. Yeah, can you say 25 second log out! when I logged back in there, she was standing in a res circle…..

Ohhhh that’s so sad! So close!!

I’m 7 of 9 (No Pun intended) for the undying title. My new Ward and Minni are levels 12 and 10 so I’m hoping for at least 1 to get the title.

Merric had to explain the pun to me. *shake fist* space lover!

Don’t feel bad, I’m 0 for 6 on the Undying title, my captain is the only one who is still eligible for it and I’m being very careful with him. It helps to have a minion to cover my retreat.
Not sure why I’m bothering though, I doubt I’ll use the title much.

Thanks Blue. I appreciate it

This might be a lot to ask, but have you guys thought about doing these as videos in addition to audio? I think that would be neat.
January 29, 2010 at 8:50 am
You are definitely not the the first to suggest it. Why anyone would want to look at me while I blabber on, I have no idea but it does appear to be some interest there. (You did see my picture in the Featured Player right? There’s a reason I’m on audio only).
We would have to think about how we would set up and record for the video portion. The way we record right now isnt very ideal as we’re sharing one space but I don’t think we’re close enough for one camera to pick us both up.
It would also probably be a bit awkward at this point as we often do not record one session straight through but will do a segment or two, then baby wakes up and we be parents for a few hours and then record the rest when she is napping again.
I can say it’d probably be pretty nice for everyone to be able to see when I’m rolling my eyes at Merric
We may not do this right away but it is a possibility for the future of the show.

I will look into it what it will take logistically for us to create something quality for a video podcast. Right now, with our current setup it just wouldn’t work. We are both sitting at one desk, with two microphones, 2 large LCD screens, a mixer, a printer, and just enough room for space with drinks; definitely not something that I’d want to broadcast to everyone. If I can find some way for us to create a quality video along with quality audio (similar to CBuzz Out Loud, Digital City, Diggnation, The Totally Rad Show, etc.) without having to spend a lot of money I’ll be for it.
I have a couple of ideas right now on how to do it, but the issue will come down to what the cost will be.
If it’s a matter of time, I definitely don’t have a problem with it at all.
