Our latest project is a Runekeeper / Hunter combo that is level 27 and working through the Lone Lands area. The Lone Lands revamp is old news for Merric with all his alts but is a new experience for Goldenstar. We talk about where we think we will go next.
Merric does end up doing the Spring Festival after saying last week that he wasn’t going to do it at all.
We get a bit sidetracked talking about in-game housing and the post Goldenstar wrote this week about housing.
Listen until the end of the podcast to hear the newest release from The Lonely Mountain Band: “The Song of Durin’s Awakening”! We did have an interview with John from the Lonely Mountain Band project in Episode 12. Check it out if you are interested in hearing more from Fathom and The Lonely Mountain Band!

Letter from Alberos on Arkenstone:
Hey Merric and Goldenstar,
I just finished listening to Episode 32 and I thought it was great.
I also wanted to let you know that the GLFF channel on Arkenstone sounds very much like the nonsense you hear on your server….and yes it totally reminds me of Barren’s Chat. The current main discussion topics are:
Where is the Bat-Cave? (typically this is a genuine question, followed by answers like “under Wayne Manor” or “In Gotham”)
What’s better pie or cake?
Is the Warden really a tank class?
Also GLFF appears to be used to pick on a specific character when ever he logs on. I assume its in fun because they keep razzing him and he keeps coming back for more.
So far there have been no Chuck Norris jokes. To bad….
A human once insulted Chuck Norris and Chuck Norris round house kicked him to half his height……all his children have been called hobbits ever since.
Hope all is going well.
Alberos of Arkenstone

Ok, I’m sure you two are getting tired of hearing from me, BUT…
Escrow doesn’t cost you any coin in order to retrieve your items. It’s a free service. However, you only have two weeks to pull your items out of Escrow or they will disappear forever. So if you abandon a house, make sure you have enough vault space to store all your stuff.
April 19, 2010 at 5:48 am
I knew it didn’t and didn’t realize until later that Merric was asking that. I guess because I was calling it a Escrow Vendor he was scared you had to buy it back. I didn’t know you only had 2 weeks though. That kinda stinks.
April 19, 2010 at 7:17 am
Very much so. But I can understand why they do it that way. Some players would use Escrow as another storage chest otherwise, which isn’t the intent of that system.
Something one of your listeners sent in reminded me of something else that used to happen in LOTRO. There actually used to be kinships built around the idea that death for a character was permanent. It didn’t matter how or why or what level your character was. If you die, you reroll. Now, I haven’t heard about any such kinships in the last year or so, but they used to be around pre-Moria.

I’m bummed I don’t have a dual wielding toon as what’s more bad-ass then two canes
Another good show, keep up the good work.

Haha, thanks Doc

Is it just me, or was the Skirmish Dev Diary something you would expect to see *prior* to Skirmishes being launched?
Really, it sounded a lot more like a scripted commercial advertising the Skirmish system than a Dev Diary about Skirmishes.
I expected a lot more insight and a lot less fluffy selling points about things we knew months ago.

The timing did seem a little weird, but it was cool to see those 2 live
It seems like things have stalled a little bit and I’m not sure why. However, there have been many hints that things are coming so I’ll just hold my horses for now…
April 20, 2010 at 2:14 pm
I’m pretty sure they recorded that months ago. Why it took so long, I’m not sure.

Coincidentally my kin was discussing housing the last few days and on the Codemasters forum (we’re on Laurelin) another kin was wondering about the same (http://bit.ly/aDImNQ).
The Shadows (and their band The Shades) are, among other things of course, quite a music oriented kin, composing our own songs and having concerts every now and then. What would be better then to use the homesteads as a playground a lot more?
Not with all those ghost towns…
I really hope Turbine will have a look at the housing. RP (light or heavy) is also part of the game.

If I am remembering correctly, you where looking where to turn in the rep items for the Wardens of Annuminas. It is in Tinnindir (sp). Hey Merric, just remember, Goldenstar is alway right. Makes life easier that way. Love you podcast. You all make me laugh all the time. If you ever get to Silverlode, stop in and say hi.

rare random drop recipes.
Hello
You can get recipes from the crafting skirmish vendor. The Tailor scroll cases range from 30 sm for a Journeyman Tailor Scroll Case to 201 sm for a Supreme case.
I haven’t tried them yet, but i assume the recipes are randomly generated.

I loved the music that closed the podcast. Lonely Mountain Band does performances in game on Landroval???? Waaaah, I’m so on the wrong server.

I should have mentioned that my kinmates are people I’ve been gaming with for nearly 10 years — we got together back in Asheron’s Call 1. Sending a kinnie my login information to do Bullroarer’s Challenge would have been no more serious than sending it to my wife.
i not dum, i r smrt!

Regarding recipes, I often get OCD about having all tailors ones from a cosmetic point of view. IF you are a dwarf RK, and your not into the bathrobe look- you are seriously stuffed for some decent looking light armour cosmetic options.
I was looking for some elven armour level 38 stuff which I had most parts except the leggings, and it took me 3 weeks to get it off the AH, durign which time I discovered I was not th eonly OCD tailor, most tailor recipes go for 100-250 silver on Eldar, so they are well worth auctioning. After an Hour deeding in the North Downs I made 1.3 gold on the AH.
I also cosmetic check for those random vendor guys, some of the Khazad Guard outfit gear comes from those guys!
another great show guys
