I picked Loremaster just to mess with Goldenstar :{D
I believe that all of them can used soloing with no problems as long as you stay with in their respective skill set. You just have to understand what your limitations are. I guess the question would be more of a which is more fun to solo with :)

Well, the warden was pretty much designed for it, and they do it well. Unfortunately, they’re so solo-oriented that you don’t get any training towards their group role (i.e., tank) until level 40 or so…

Warden. Easy. Wardens were created to answer the call for a solo class for people who wanted to be able to play (for the most part) alone, with less dependency on fellowships.
Wardens have the ability to handle major tasks needed for soloing pretty well (tank, dps, heal). The jack-of-all-trades class, wardens can fill a spot (tank w/heals) when they want to group, but can handle solo content alone with no difficulty.
Agree with Gneech about the group training. Sometimes I wonder if Turbine made them TOO solo-friendly.

Warden of course. The one-man fellowship. Though I have more fun with my Captain since he’s my main and he’s usually the first to try new stuff.

Guardians are without a doubt the second best solo class there is (Wardens are third). Properly traited and with the right LIs, Guards can do just about anything. There’s a video of a guardian soloing Sword Halls, but none of a Warden (which is why they are third).

But the absolute most powerfull/best solo class is . . .

    . . . the WARLEADER!!!

In the Sword Halls vid the Guardian has to run around for a while blowing cooldowns and waiting for his self heals to come back up. A Warleader doesn’t have to. Show me another class that with no super specialisation; and without all their class or racial skills; can go toe to toe with 70k elite mobs and come out on top and I’ll give them the crown. Guardians come close but they can’t do what Warleaders do using only 11 skills (including auras and stances).

And don’t even get me started on what Warleaders do for groups!

Do you mean sword halls HM solo as I have seen a champ, warden and a guard solo videos of normal mode (and probably plenty other classes too) but haven’t yet seen a video of a HM solo from any class, which would be cool to see! Apparently a warden on our server did sword halls HM, but there isnt a vid so )-:

I know a warden and RK dup who completed a level 65 12 man raid on barrow downs survival, hell of a lot of kiting towards the end, but still cool!

Ok, if Creeps are in the mix I’d agree with you. Warleaders. But if they are not, I’m going to disagree and say that currently Wardens are #1, who took the crown from Lore-masters back in SoA.

There is a video of a 65 warden handling a 68 nemesis. And a drake nemesis too.

I’ve played a hunter, captain, minstrel and LM to at least 60. The one I’ve needed the least help with as I solo’d my way through was my LM. If a hunter could handle getting mobbed my a bunch of melee before getting Rain of Thorns, I’d have said hunter.

My main is a Guardian, and I love it in solo, especially since we have Overpower. Back in the day, before Overpower it was a serious pain to play a Guardian in solo (it was soooooo slow, sometimes mobs respawned into my face :P ).
My other love is the Burglar – flexible, tactical, and fun to play, and with stealth, I can get around a lots o’ stuff without having to kill them as with my other characters. It’s like I’m playing a completely different game!

I can’t pick one because I’ve soloed on every class and several I found relatively easy; though some are harder at lower levels (comparison if pre-MoM since I’ve only rolled a new guard and warden since). Personally, minstrel is hardest but that may be because I don’t really care for the minstrel (but I’m too far invested to delete her now, she’s my guild tailor and has to be leveled to get the recipes). Hunter is fairly easy to solo, I got him from creation to 50 almost entirely solo in a month pre-MoM. My warden has been almost completely solo, as well (which screws me on learning to ‘tank’). My warden can at least heal herself where my hunter has less chance of healing (and I’m not talking my man heal). I have a new guardian that is soloing super easy, but that’s probably more the wuss revamps at this point as she’s only 24. I’m sure it’ll get harder on her but still be relatively easy since guards are made to take a beating.

So yeah, I can’t vote because I can’t choose just one as being the best.

I would say the warden, because they are crazy overpowered in a good way.

Warden for sure. The difference between warden soloing and loremaster soling is margin for error. With the warden, it takes a series of mistakes to go down. With a loremaster, you can always get out of a sitaution, but a few carelss mistakes can mean defeat.

I agree Wardens are THE kings of soloing the game.

But I voted for Lore-Master because it seems to involve a lot of quick thinking at times, especially when unexpected adds come in (and you know they do appear out of nowhere!). In this regard, you learn to use as much of your toolset as possible, hence it is “best”

Or maybe just because I like Lore-Masters :P

i also voted for Loremaster, mostly because i knew Warden would be in the top spot and i wanted LMs to have a respectable position on this poll.

if you play your pet right, and sling your stuns and mezzes with precision, you can go really, really far with a soloing LM.

I’ve never played Warden so I’ll just go off what I know. I can solo very well on my Champion without much effort on learning how. However, as I am mostly hunter based I have learned how to solo very well on her only because finding help was a nightmare when in Vilya. It was either learn how to solo or don’t complete any quests. Generally that meant watching an area for a while before I set up my attack. Soloing on hunter became easier to do after obtaining Rain of Thorns, however.

Tough question. If we are talking soloable at cap level – it has to be Warden. I’ve seen people do some crazy stuff on lvl 65 Wardens! However, I voted Lore-master. Mainly because, no other class that I know of, ever solo’d Coldbear in Helegrod (props to Shauna the LM!). With all the tools available to them, and considering they are only light-armour, it’s amazing what can be done with an LM! They are the main reason for the boss anti-CC buff after all (ok, personal opinion and nothing to back that up with :) )

Everyone chooses warden because they are newer and thus a common alt. The content is easy a second time thru and has been streamlined and dumbed down over the years. A guard is amazing for solo and levels vey quickly with overpower. I’ve out leveled everyone I play with when using my guard. Just came back to the game not long ago and I’m hitting 65 today for sure (3 bars left and I’ve made lvl 60-65 solo I. About 8 game hours with 0 help and 0 deaths except computer crashes/lagging off a cliff or two. My new Dell had problems with the videocard. Fixed now and less cliff dives thank goodness.

Warden is a solid solo class but guards can out damage and out survive a warden hands down.

Absolutely. And with the right legacies and traits they can even come close to the self healing a Warden can generate. Guardians just have so much flexibility, health, and armor that they are always going to be able to find a way to get the job done.

Wardens are good, but they aren’t quite as flexible as Guards are, especially after getting LIs.

I recently rolled a warden (Wardread) and within in 3 weeks of partial play have leveled him to 33. It is by far the easiest class to solo that I have played yet. I have a 45 guard, a 65 lm, a 65 hunter, a 65 minnie, a 65 champ, and a 23 burg.

Wardens are amazing, can produce a plethora of dots and Hots. I have been able to take on more mobs and higher level mobs than with any other toon. Hands down Wardens are the best solo class. The only drawback is you have to memorize the gambits and that likely causes some problems.
