Isn’t it in Turbine’s best interest to keep “Quest Leveling” (my favorite style of story consumption and leveling) flowing, natural feeling and easy?
What parts (or zones) of the game are best/worst for that play style and why do you think Turbine designed that part of the game that way (is it to encourage group play)?
Aelgerion:
Hi! First I just want to say thank you for putting your podcast together week after week. You both do a great job and give a great perspective on the game.
I’m hoping you can give some suggestions on where a casual minded player would quest around the level 40 range (my first time getting to 40 in LOTRO). I’m a bit early for Eregion I think and I’ve primarily used skirmishes for leveling. I’m really looking forward to the 40-50 section of Merric’s alt project..but I know that will be a while.

Excellent podcast! Really enjoyed chuckling along.
My suggestion for housing, if they won’t move crafting there, is to somehow make it THE place for all future ‘Hobbies’.
Kia mentioned the Sims. Turn housing zones into just that.
Good night!

My guess is that a housing update will be something similar to what they implented in DDO. At least for Kinhouses. You’ll have a place to activate buffs that you’ve purchased that will benefit the entire kinship for a limited amount of time. When that runs out, you’ll need to purchase another.

Nice Podcast, great to hear Kia talking about her great work, there does seem to be a lot more interest in Housing recently which is awesome! We are off to get some more trophies from GA tonight for our kin house!
I’m a little torn about the dungeon join, I think it’ll be usefull and I’ll certainly appreciate and use it with my friends and kin, especially as we have limited time with baby dwarf. But I do worry about if it will create a speed instance culture and expectation like in some MMO’s: enter, give me my quest, port me there, kill boss, lootz, go… kthxbai. Hopefully not, and that this will be a usefull re-visit feature, but time will tell
@Merric do you mean the grey speckled horse, with a red saddle cloth? (I can’t think of any other horses with a red saddle cloth). If so then its the Council of the North faction horse Garth Forthnir in ANGMAR! Have it on my Champ and it is indeed AWESOME!
@Merric have you thought about breaking it down to 5 level intervals on your altaholism posts from level 40, be a little easier, and class quests are at 45?

I do know that on Brandywine, there are a couple of French-speaking kinships, one of which is Le Ordre des Dragonnes Blancs. (not quite sure on the spelling)

Another fine podcast guys, Kia you were great!

My new house is awesome! I still haven’t figured what trophies I will hang up, but the “bedroom” is incredible. It just works! Thanks Kia!!!!!

Enjoyed the podcast. Agree with the rest of the girls. Hunters can paint their nails while fighting
I am loving the decorating guides. Can’t wait to see what else ya’ll come up with.
Bind on Acquire Cosmetics from the festival make me frown. I have no idea where I am gonna store them.
Very upsetting.
I am hoping the update to housing is not what they put in DDO… I would, however, like for the hooks to be placed better. I am torn on the crafting. Perhaps as a kin house reward.
See ya in Middle-Earth,
-R
Dungeon Join might be useful at times, but I don’t want to see the game made an instant travel game. Riding my horse and finding myself in trouble is half the fun. Summoning horns were useful.

Great podcast! It is awesome to finally put a voice to the prolific Kia.
Make sure you ask about the “bird” pet during your Loremaster’s roundtable. I suspect you will find that many who play LM as their primary love it and you should be able to get some pointers on how to use it so you’ll love it too. Here’s a hint: Flanking Rules!

Awesome podcast as usual. I admit I was not particularly interested in housing, I just bought my first house 2 weeks ago. The housing discussion was very enlightening in that I had no idea that the housing system was so dynamic.
Kia, your english is wonderful. I find that those who speak english as a second language try harder to speak properly. Then they end up sounding more eloquent than some native speakers.
I could listen to you say “Nimrodel” all day long…
