This week we can talk about being in the beta! Thank goodness as it was difficult doing a weekly podcast and making sure you don’t break the NDA accidently!
Merric is working on his Champion and is having a better time of it thanks to all the suggestions and tips people sent in to him.
We also have a special interview with Jeff Berkwits of Taverncraft to talk about the Lord of the Rings steins and glasses they have. Make sure you enter our Taverncraft Contest for the pint glasses. We draw a winner next Saturday!

Glad to know I’m a level 60 burger, too bad the creeps notice it and gank me all the time.
And instead of a hunter, I’m leveling my Lore master, Adelod, after the Loremaster roundtable I started to think between the 2, glad I chose Loremaster, will probably do hunter next.
Take care

I suspected you guys were in the beta when the patch notes read “stay out of the poo Merric & Goldenstar”. I think that was for a fix in the rift.

Yeah that was a neat little reference in there. We thought it was hilarious!

Another excellent episode. I wanted to briefly mention the conversation about turning in reputation items. It just so happens that last night after finishing the podcast while grinding Council of the North reputation I went to Garth Forthnir to turn in my rep items and ran into the problem you were discussing. I was able to turn in the lowest tier rep items (bone amulets), but not the others (wicked daggers and war dispatches). I had already completed the quest associated with the bone amulets, but I did not have any rings at the rep vendor (neither gold nor silver) initially. I had a level 50 alt.
While turning in the bone amulets I managed to reach acquaintance and suddenly the rep vendor had a gold ring above her head. She then gave me the quests for the other two rep items and I was able to turn in all 3 types of items. Thus, it appears that the second and third tier quests are not tied only to level, but are linked to reputation as well. This situation is very ridiculous and frustrating. Turbine should change this immediately. What’s the point of requiring reputation to allow us to turn in tokens that grant reputation?

I preordered the Legendary Smaug Tankard the other day. I thought about getting it months ago when I first heard about it, but finally went ahead and ordered it after hearing this episode.

Great Podcast, and I love those Tankards. I would love to get the Legendary Smaug tankard, but man, I don’t know if I’d want to drink out of something so nice looking. I’m going to have to save up some coins for this expense.
I so agree that rep items clog my inventory way to much. I was checking out my bank space on one of my characters, and rep tokens practically take up half a chest space. *sigh* I’m glad someone ranted about this.
Oh, btw, grats on being 1 year old.
