The majority of the show is about the Free to Play Launch announcement, the dev diaries and the F2P information we’ve found.
Goldenstar has been working on her huntress who is now level 45. She had trouble with a quest up in Forochel and required help from Merric to finish it as she kept doing it wrong. She worked more on the epic book (volume 1) and has been able to make it across the line of death in Angmar. She also attended Ales and Tales anniversary event!
Merric has been working on his champion who is now level 38.

Not only did they shut down the Free Trial program, they also shut down the Referral program. People who had pending Referral credits left supposedly still have them but the link to redeem them has vanished from within the account page. Still waiting for info on what we have to do now to redeem those pending credits.

It was posted that the existing referrals were not removed. I’ve never used the referral program so cannot speak as to what is missing.

Great podcast!
Loved the Gimli Time-Space-Continuum (sp??)
And, yes Goldenstar, Gandalf is in that room locked away. I think maybe he finds us common-folk annoying.
Probably the only reason he lets our alts in is cause he thinks “ah, finally! Someone new to talk to…maybe they won’t bother me like all those other folks.” lol
Then he discovers that he doesn’t like our alts anymore than our mains…so locks the door again

Another great episode, well spotted GS; Eregion was what I meant to type- doh!
I think ‘The Gimli Time space continuum’ deserves to become THE standard term when referring to such events, hell maybe even just all unexplainable bugs could be attributed to it?
“The Balrog Justs Crashed”
“Ah that’ll be disruption caused by the Gimli Time space Continuum”

I don’t think Eragon had a mother, didn’t she dissapear or something… anyway nice episode with lots of info.

I meant the writer probably had a mother to ask how girls think. I found his female characters very lacking. They were shallow and stereotypical but that’s just my opinion

Ah I misunderstood, can’t say I noticed but then im a man, I shall i put it on my re-read list.

Maybe I misheard, but did you mention something about character transfers to other servers in this episode? I was under the impression we would still have to pay for those (via the forums), but it sounded like maybe you had other info.
September 2, 2010 at 5:55 pm
There are character transfers available to some servers that you must pay for. There will not be the option to transfer any characters to the new servers. At least not at first. I assume it will open eventually.
