By day, a leader among Sandwich Artists (I manage the local Subway sandwich shop). By night, the leader of “Salvation”, raiding kinship on Elendilmir. Former leader of the illustrious and now extinct Defenders of the Greyflood on Elendilmir. I enjoy all aspects of the game but find myself most drawn to the end-game especially as it pertains to raiding.
Lord of the Rings Online is my first and only real MMO experience thus far (I played Guildwars for about 2 weeks but I really don’t count that for the shortness of time). I have been playing since December ’06 in the closed beta for Shadows of Angmar.
My attention was first turned toward the work of Tolkien when late one night as a child me and my cousin watched Rankin and Bass’ “The Hobbit” three times in a row late at night. We loved it. Several years later when Peter Jacksons take on the Lord of the Rings started hitting theatres I decided to pick up the book(s) and read. Fell completely in love with the story and have found myself collecting and doing all things Lord of the Rings since.
I’m a very knowledgeable and opinionated person and player and I love to write… given that I hope to make some big contributions to this wonderful operation called “Casual Stroll to Mordor” (for me it’ll tend to be a “Hardcore Sprint to Mordor” and I hope that edgier part of me will help others see more of what the game has to offer in later levels).
