Greetings! My name is Jamie AKA Goldenstar co-host/co-founder of CSTM and mother to Baby Hobbit.
I’ve been playing massively multi-player online (MMO) games since Everquest days where I was a completely dreadful rogue. My alcohol tolerance was higher than my backstab skill… Yeah, I was that bad. I have become much more knowledgeable about MMOs and how to play them more effectively since those days. I have to admit that I still tend to prefer my character to look pretty over functionality.
I’ve played MMOs in many different fashions and not always to the game designers ideals. In the past, I have been an effective fireball throwing mage, bard who refuses to level, a player vs. player junkie, and an entertainer who did nothing but host player events. I’ve lead guilds, raids and pajama parties online. I’ve also got some experience with role-play which is why I chose the Landroval Server as my home.
I am a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings story and pretty much all things Tolkien. I’ve read the books many times and will probably read them again in the future. The chance to play a hobbit was too tempting. Other games have fake hobbits like gnomes and halflings. LOTRO has real honest to goodness Hobbits and that appeals to me greatly.
In case you were wondering, my hobbit never wears shoes and yes, Goldenstar is the name of a flower.
