Don’t forget the added positioning you can get by making your character sit, or lie down. In first person perspective, this can lower or raise the height of the camera. In third person perspective, a good /faint is a great way to get your character hidden out of the shot without having to get the distortion of first-person view.

The quests related to leveling the Gathering proffesions is nothing more than talking to a NPC to get a book to read…..unless they’ve changed it in the last couple of versions of Beta.

Of course there have always been expansions, but they did also release updates to the game between them. What I am saying is these updates have been getting smaller and more infrequent.
Access + updates used to be what you paid your subscription for, punctuated by expansions for major additions.
Now there is no charge for access, and updated features have to be bought from the cash shop.
So now the VIP’s rent the quests month by month, while still paying cash for all the updated features (extra char slots / vault space) compared to buying the quests permanently as well as a wider set of features.

This is clearly an effective price hike, and i’d prefer they increased the price of VIP but made everything attainable with in-game resources (NOT TP regardless how you can get it) if a price increase has to be borne.

But what really puts sand in the vaseline is how this affects lifetimers. If future updates are TP only per character then the monthly 500TP covers less of the debt than an essex girls miniskirt.
This massively reduces the value of a lifetime sub, as you will have to grind out TP with everyone else, pay again in the cashshop, or wait 3+years to build up enough ‘free’ TP to get the updates coming in sept10th(no headstart for EU) let alone anything added in those 3 years.

All they have to do is let you pay gold for the vaultspaces and make the HotPots craftable. I’ll let the character slots slide as long as i can buy one a month with my allowance – I’m not an unreasonable guy

Rather sad to hear about no end of beta party! Perhaps we’ll get something. The Eyes and Guard Tavern is open, which is the blue frogging place (blue frogging refers to NPCs that give you levels, quest completions, virtues, etc.). The E&G is located near the stable at Thorin’s Hall (not the mine entrance, the door a little bit in front of the stable NPC). I’ve had trouble getting my current beta character (originally level 58) to 65. I believe that if you want to experience level 65 the easiest way, you should roll a new toon and then use E&G.

I’m not sure what you feel you are missing as a VIP. If still subscribed, you won’t be losing anything you currently have. The extra vault space in store is just that – extra. Your current vault space isn’t reducing at all.

And VIP getting base game & paying for expansions is sorta exactly how things operate now. You’ll just have the choice to buy the expansions with the store and the points you earn as a VIP.

Make new storage mules, burn through my 200G buying the vault spaces.

6 months ago I thought 200G would mean i would never need to go out of my way to earn gold ever again. how times change.

Ideally I will hold of starting to make a dent in the 20K TP required to bring us back to what should have been available to VIP’s as part of the subscription until they have a sale on extra character slots and vault space.

But it seems as if enough turkeys voted for christmas so that subscriptions get you much less nowadays, with more and more gated behind expansions and cash shops.
It started with that Adventure pack , and has only gone downhill from there.
Looks like in the future only quest packs will be opened by subscribing – every other new game addition will be cash only

Honestly, the removal of conjunctions against players in the moors is much more than a minor fix. It’s a major change that has been a long time coming, and it very well may almost completely revamp the way the moors works.

Yeah, there are some PvMP stuff (minor fixes) with F2P, but nothing major. One can only hope that it is getting something behind-the-scenes. There are new sets (PVE) from Helegrod and Anuminas, but yeah… Again with PvMP sets.

There is so much to explore without rushing through Enedwaith. All those new instances, and so many deeds to finish off now that I’ll get Turbine points for them. Suddenly finishing off the deeds for my army of alts will be more rewarding.

My first alt has made it into Moria and beginning to dabble in instances. Aeleon the Warden is almost level 55 and getting some nice legendary weapons for his level. It’s interesting to start the legendary system from scratch, knowing what to do for a change!

Only the Annuminas heavy armor set has a non-radiance heavy shield instead of a helm while the light and medium armor sets do in fact have radiance helms.

Remembering how hectic Mirkwood was right after SoM launch, I think I’ll hold off a few days on exploring Enedwaith. My plans are to buy a new character slot and roll a guard. it’s the only class I don’t have yet. Now the big question is race. I’m thinking man, but hobbit is also a contender…

I’m also tempted to roll a creep on one of the new servers. Should have a little while with no real competition from Freeps.

I wasn’t too impressed either as I kept thinking the narration should have been saying, “Look! at all the places you won’t go unless you pay to go there!!” Wasn’t that Balrog from Helogrod as well as other characters you can’t fight unless you are WAY past the F2P starter areas?

The “I am Lore-Master” was showcased after the “I am Warden” video was over. I don’t think they called it “I am Lore-Master” but it was put on by the same people. Made me proud to have a Lore-master. = )

Well… as of right now, I’m grinding out Vol 1 (on book 10 and still going strong), and occaisionally trying to finish Vol 2 (Book 6 and 7, I think are still in my To-Do-List at the moment). Once I finally catch up with Vol 1 and 2, then I’ll stab at Enedwaith and working more on Vol 3! And work my alts…. and continue to fall in love with the new level-up animation that everyone seems to keep NOT MENTIONING!!! IT’S AWESOME!

RK level 23 – Varderin on Gladden. Made Expert Jeweler, Prospector, and Cook…you can craft useful things at rank 3. Also got my butt kicked with two friends in the Great Barrow…we can take 3 sigs on, but the encounters with 3+ are too hard.
