A Casual Stroll to Mordor

You may remember Beldrieth of Arkenstone from her excellent story “Mainly Concerning a Hobbit” which she was so nice to let us post here on CSTM.

As mentioned on episode 120, LOTRO Lore Nuggets, is a blog you probably want to add to your list for some great LOTRO information.

A new feature for LOTRO bloggers has appeared on the MyMiddle-Earth.net web site. LOTRO Portal is a space for LOTRO Bloggers to share their pictures, thoughts, journeys or stories with other LOTRO players.

One of my favorite new blogs recently added to my feed reader has to be Cosmetic LOTRO. It would simply be greedy of me to keep this blog to myself!

Blogging on the my.lotro site changed quite a bit with the new community portal and things just haven’t been the same.

This week we have special guest Syp (aka Justin Olivetti) from the Massively “Road to Mordor” column as well as his own blog Bio Break.

We have a new blog writing about LOTRO to share with you today by Drannos. The Pix’led Life doesn’t focus soley on LOTRO as Drannos is a fan of many games (as many of us are) but it is heavily focused on LOTRO as that is what he primarily enjoys to play.

Merric and I both attended the Blogger Gathering (named Blogmoot by Banhorn which I think is great!)held last Saturday night and I have to say I had a good time. I got to meet some of my favorite bloggers, some potential bloggers and learn of some blogs currently missing from my blogroll (quickly remedied I must add).

This week we try one of the old Angmar Battle Instances, Battle for Aughaire. We found it to be very skirmish like for being a regular fellowship quest. We think at least the one we ran would make a great skirmish in the future.

Goldenstar got the new spring festival mount on three of her characters. Goldenstar also made two new alts a Lore-master and a Hunter. The hunter is absolutely adorable so picture has been included so you can enjoy the cuteness. She also participated in a run of Barad Gularan with the kin.

A new LOTRO blog has sprung up and I love to see the blogging community for my favorite game grow! For real. I’m not April foolin’ ya! The Uruk Hunter was is written by Saks a player from the Vilya server who’s been playing LOTRO since the beginning. He started the blog earlier this month [...]

A new LOTRO themed blog has appeared on the scene that you all should know about called Mordor or Bust. It’s author is Brian of Silverload who plays primarily solo and says that his blog will focus on the game from a mostly solo perspective.

The Khazad Guard was created by Adam and Emma who are European players from the Eldar server. Adam writes and comments quite often on our blog and they decided they had LOTRO discussions of their own to share.

“That LOTRO Show” is back in video form that is being posted on the blog. The new episode is up for you to check out!

Then there are the folks in game that are what I consider true screenshot artists. It seems unbelievable that their pictures come from the same game that mine does. The pictures are so stunning and worth staring at and mine just seem like… well a screenshot rather than an image.

In this episode of CStM, we talk about: Merric’s first attempt at playing Goldenstar’s minstrel. Merric is closer to getting his remaining alts to level 20. We are both level 61 and inching closer to level cap! We have also have purchased PAX East tickets so we will be down in Boston this March!

I’ve been reading Nidget’s blog for probably over a week now and I’m positively addicted. Nidget has a real talent taking what he did in game and turning it into a funny and completely entertaining story. He can take a quest that we’ve all done (and may have skipped the quest text) and works magic on it.

We are pleased to introduce a new member to the CStM team! Veneration has been kind enough to offer his writing for publishing on our little site. He has some great ideas for stories to share and we are super excited to be able to share them here.
