A large epic novel is most definitely not required for you to start role-playing your character. You can build your character’s personality traits and story as you go along. You never stop losing and gaining new quirks as you age, your character should grow and change as well.

LOTRO’s title system is really something I love. It’s the first game I can recall ever playing that allows such a plentiful way to customize your character just a little bit more.
