As first reported by Cloudie-wan on the LOTRO forums, the new summer festival is going to start some fun new festival deeds tied to the consumables.

In a post on the forums by Fredelas, it seems we may have found the elusive blue festival clothing on Bullroarer in the latest patch. I know at least Kiarane, Ketani and I were frantically searching for this costume and it’s great to think it is coming with Monday’s patch

We have already shared how to find a few hidden deeds in Enedwaith, and tonight I finished another one.

Strange things are afoot in Middle-earth, lately. Starting with a Strongly-Worded Letter from one Bungo Grubb of Oatbarton, a scavenger hunt of sorts has begun.

In my last article, I covered how you could advance deeds through instances repeated via the reflecting pool. This time around, we’re going to cover grinding deeds via Skirmishes.

Thanks to the reflecting pool, you can create your own private instance in which you can kill the mobs therein and advance your deeds without competing with other players or disrupting other’s quest time.

These deeds are not easy to complete and not for the faint at heart. There is a lot of grinding involved. Grinding it the more difficult places in the game.

Our friend Bryandt (whom you may know from the Premium Experiment) has posted some new videos showing how to get some hidden deeds available in Enedwaith.

Recently @Arlequinslotro commented on Twitter that “It seems some folks don’t think VIRTUES are important to level…” As an active raider, I can’t stress enough how much I disagree with that line of thinking. Virtues are extremely important, especially if you have an interest in taking part in endgame instances.

I have been pondering how life will be slightly hectic in the lower levels for a bit on September 10th when Free to Play is launched and we welcome our new friends into our starting regions. This also made me think if there’s anything I should do now so I’m not that annoying 65 pestering [...]

It has been said many times (and I agree) that LOTRO has the greatest community of any MMO out there. Players are by and large respectful towards each other in their in-game interactions, and new players are not insulted when they ask basic questions about game play in the chat channel.

This week’s poll asks if you are working on any of the new meta deeds that was released with 3.1.1 patch. Three new meta deeds were added for Angmar, Moria and Lothorien.

For those not familiar, this deed requires you to find several flowers scattered throughout the Old Forest. Doing quests in the Old Forest, you’ll likely run across a few of these. Finding the rest isn’t exactly a cup of tea, unfortunately, as many are in areas you really don’t have any need to visit.

When you’re in a kinship you can sometimes find it difficult to get done the things you would like to do because you spend a lot of your time helping others. This can get frustrating for anyone but I think it becomes especially frustrating for the casual player who’s time is quite limited. I’m not [...]
