How should Turbine handle the move from following single fellowship to following multiple members through their own individual adventures and challenges?

Last week’s poll had some serious discussion in that it didn’t really include classes like loremasters who don’t fit in such clear roles. This week’s poll was suggested by Dreadhed to try to make up for this oversight.

I would guess that most have assisted others they aren’t in a fellowship with before. Assistance can be given in helping kill a monster or in buffing or healing a character engaged in combat. For instance, if I heal someone who’s in combat with a enemy, I will placed in combat as well even if not in a fellowship or not attacking the monster at all.

I started thinking about classes I don’t play and why. I typically stick with ranged/caster classes because I find that I tend to be quite good at them. But can I play melee well? I’m really not sure.
