The forums are once again open and able to be used on the my.lotro site!

Turbine has released an update on their forums status stating that they have identified a potential issue in their system.

The LOTRO Game Servers, Forums, Lorebook and http://myaccount.turbine.com will be offline for maintenance on Monday, July 18 from 6:00AM to 10:00AM Eastern (-4 GMT).

We’ve mentioned the issue with the in-game /bug tool in a recent podcast (81 or 82, I can’t recall which) . The problem using the /bug command in-game was the bug panel was .. well … bugged.

Introducing himself yesterday to the forums was a developer, “Kelsan”, who will be focusing with Orion on upcoming PvMP updates.

September 8th was the day that Turbine took down their web sites to unveil their brand new lotro.com and community pages. I for one was excited. I was eager to see what sort of new features and options we’d have with the new community site.

This week both of us attended the Wildlore Block Party even if we didn’t attend together. Goldenstar found a long lost hobbit relative who looked very similar to her!

“Tell the Community Team” is where Turbine asks for the players to give them direct and specific feedback about a specific topic. This is really a fantastic opportunity for you to give your thoughts and opinions about the game directly to Turbine to think about.

Recently, there was a post on the forums that although atypical for the LOTRO forums (as far as my experience goes) is fairly typical for most gaming forums; especially MMO’s. How is it typical? Well, for those of you who do not want to pollute your mind with meaningless drama and crud, I’ll go into a somewhat brief description.

“Tell the Community Team” is where Turbine asks for the players to give them direct and specific feedback about a specific topic. This is really a fantastic opportunity for you to give your thoughts and opinions about the game to the developers to think about.

I have been a “drive-by healer” in the past. If I notice someone struggling to kill a mob or running away, I’ll step in and give them a boost with a cheery song. I assume that my little ditty helped the player finish what they were working on and being quite proud of myself will carry on my merry-merry way.

A new forum for bloggers and podcasters has been created to encourage sharing and discussions in the LOTRO blogging community.
