The Hunter class makes a strong play for being one of the most fun classes to play. Although some may see the class as a mindless DPS class (and I’ll admit I thought that a bit at first too) I think one of the reason we see so many Hunters is that playing one is just good fun.

Hunters are the subject of today’s Developer Diary by Brian “Zombie Columbus” Alosio. And although it hasn’t been a long time since Hunters were last updated there are still some “major changes” coming for the Hunters in Rise of Isengard.

For my recruit-level article on the hunter, I ran with my Landroval hunter. For the footman levels, I am returning to my main hunter on Windfola.

Released today was a Dev Diary by Brian “Zombie Columbus” Alosio, focused on changes coming to the Hunter class with the Q1 update Echoes of the Dead.

Ah, the Hunter. It wasn’t with more than a little trepidation that I picked up this character and began leveling to 40 with this character after a long stint of going through Enedwaith and leveling reputation with my Guardian.

Lord of the Rings Online allows you to play nine classes. Each class has its own style, challenges, and role in a group. I am engaging in my own altaholism project by playing several skirmishes with each of these classes.

Today was the lucky day! It wasn’t on Goldenstar but my adorable hunter was the winner of the aged deed.

The new skill upgrade at level 64 changes a lot for the hunter class. Sure it has some down sides (For those who don’t play smart), but for the most part this gives hunters a chances to make some decisions that could change the course of battle!

So you used to play World of Warcraft and now are interested in this amazing game called Lord of the Rings Online. You loved your character in WoW and would like to play something similar to that, if possible. This post is to try to help you find that similar class in LOTRO.
