The $99.99 one year VIP subscription deal is back!

The $99.99 annual VIP membership subscription offering was introduced this year in June and Turbine has now announced the end date of this offer.

We got an email today from Giggles of Windfola sharing a forum post that has been going on since late March about issues with buying VIP subscriptions. This appears to be related to non-US players attempting to purchase a VIP subscription or buying Turbine Points.

I don’t live overseas so I had to first look up what VAT was. It basically is the same as sales tax here in the U.S. Taxation on goods and services for the European Union. Because this law changed, Codemasters had to change their pricing.

Well, I didn’t think it would happen, but I guess I need to listen to Mordor or Bust, because apparently he’s psychic. But here it is: LOTRO is going Free-to-Play! We’ll definitely be talking about this in the future and in our next podcast, but I’m interested in hearing about what you all have to say about it!

There seems to be a lot of confusion on how the Siege of Mirkwood Pre-Launch offers work. I don’t really blame anyone because I believe the way they are wording things is a tad confusing. I do believe I have a grasp on how things work and will list out your options here.
